Jill's Story
Life
I've lived in San Francisco for 33 years. I love the energy of this beautiful and diverse city. I enjoyed teaching at Presidio Hill School for 10 years,the oldest independent school in California, coaching the city's Synchronized Swim team for 4 years and working with Special Olympics over the last 20 years-swimming of course. Working on my 3rd career working with people/students with disabilities, Learning Disability Assessments at City College of SF. It's very fulfilling helping students who are struggling like I did.
I graduated!!!!! May 26, 2007 with a M.S. in Counseling, Rehabilitaton and Gerontology.
I really enjoyed the challenge. I know many people would be surprised...Expand for more
at my returning to higher education since school was very difficult for me. I've actually surprised myself.
I'm still swimming as much as I can and swim the "Mile-athon" for the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Berkeley.
I'm still a little wild, but I now refer to it as a compelling zest for life. I have been a social activist since coming here and seek social justice and equality for all.
I have many great memories of each school and many wonderful friends. I just wonder how they are doing and look forward to hearing from anyone who cares to say hello.
