Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.” ― Barbara De Angelis Thank you for sharing Lil Lil Sis Shannon Herbert Kyle Barnette If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another. The universe has no fixed agenda. Once you make any decision, it works around that decision. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience. - Deepak Chopra "maybe it's true, maybe we don't know what we have until we've lost it. but, maybe it's also true that we don't know what we're missing until we find it" ~ Winnie the Pooh If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now when? Hillel was a Rabbi and he taught us what to do. The first part of his lesson said you must be true to you. You have to love yourself if you expect that others should. Having self-respect is something special, something good. My self is very special, it’s the place I have to start. But Hillel said we must make room for others in our heart. Yes, love yourself but care and share don’t lock the others out. Caring for yourself and others is what life is all about. Life is short, the time flies by and just before you know. Today becomes last week and then a long, long time ago. Hillel said do what you must act now, today, don’t wait. Decide what is important do it now, it’s not too late. " "I believe everything happens for a reason! People change so you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so that you will eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes, good things fall apart, so better things can fall together." - -- Marilyn Monroe "Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful." -- A Walk to Remember “I'm not funny. What I am is brave.” -Lucille Ball If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. ~ Steve Jobs "Always tell the truth. It's the easiest thing to remember." --A Practical Handbook for the Actor (SU Drama Dept Core Book Requirement 1991) "Excellence can be attained if you... * Care more than others think is wise. * Risk more than others think is safe. * Dream more than others think is practical. * Expect more than others think is possible." -— Jim Gentil Anne Frank: The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. "Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push - a smile. A word of optimism and hope, a 'you can do it!' when things are tough." -- Richard De Vos “Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not t...Expand for more
o worry. Worry never fixes anything.” - Mary (Mrs. Ernest) Hemingway "AK has none of his ducks in a row, but couldn't be happier with life!" AK Do You Remember the things you were worrying about a year ago? How did they work out? Didn't you waste a lot of fruitless energy on account of most of them? Didn't most of them turn out right after all? --Dale Carnegie Work keeps at bay three great evils: boredom, vice and need --Voltaire Life is certainly only worth while as it represents struggle for worthy causes. There is no struggle in perfect security. I am quite certain that the human being could not continue to exist if he had perfect security. --Dwight Eisnenhower The World id fillef with interesting things to do. Don't lead a dull life in such a thrilling world. --Dale Carnegie It's not what you say that people remember...It's how you make them feel. --Someone at the Reali School in Haifa July 2008 "Apply the 'magic of listening' in every relationship; listening builds trust." -– Brian Tracy "I think the one lesson I have learned is that there is no substitute for paying attention." -- Diane Sawyer "The human body has two ears and one mouth. To be good at persuading, you must learn to use those natural devices in proportion. Listen twice as much as you talk and you'll succeed in persuading others nearly every time." -– Tom Hopkins "We should quietly hear both sides." -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe FORGIVENESS "To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness." -– Robert Muller The summer smiles, the summer knows And unashamed she sheds her clothes The summer smoothes the restless sky And lovingly she warms the sand, on which you lie The summer knows, the summer’s wiseShe sees the doubts within your eyesAnd so she takes her summertime Tells the moon to wait and the sun to lingerTwists the world round her summer fingerLets you see the wonder of it all And if you’ve learned your lesson wellThere’s little more for her to tellOne last caress, it’s time to dress, for fall And if you’ve learned your lesson wellThere’s little more for her to tellOne last caress, it’s time to dress, for fall The summer smiles, the summer knows And unashamed she sheds her clothes The summer smoothes the restless sky And lovingly she warms the sand, on which you lie The summer knows, the summer’s wiseShe sees the doubts within your eyesAnd so she takes her summertime Tells the moon to wait and the sun to lingerTwists the world round her summer fingerLets you see the wonder of it all And if you’ve learned your lesson wellThere’s little more for her to tellOne last caress, it’s time to dress, for fall And if you’ve learned your lesson wellThere’s little more for her to tellOne last caress, it’s time to dress, for fall".
