Jim's Story
Life
Grew up on Kane St. in Hammond, near Lafayette school. Attended All Saints Grade School until graduation in 1960. Went to Bishop Noll for 1 1/2 years before going to Hammond Tech. Graduated in 1964.
Attended St. Joseph's college for 1 1/2 years. Enlisted in the USMC in 1966. Served one tour of duty in Vietnam.
Returned to Hammond and worked at Calumet Nat'l Bank and the old Hammond Times before leaving the area in 1973.

Workplace
Worked at the old Hammond Times during highschool and again in the early 70's. Been working in newspapers ever since. Currently run the computer department for a large Seattle newspaper.
Military
Enlisted in the USMC early 1966. Bootcamp in SanDiego. 1st duty starion, Cherry Point NC. Served in Vietnam 1967 - 1968. Discharged from FMFlant Norfolk VA in early 1969.
