Jim's Story
Hey, Everyone. Well, Johnson was a blast, and I have a lot of great memories of playing in the band at hockey games, football games, etc. Sam Marks was the best.
I remember throwing "Knox Blocks" up onto the ceiling in the cafeteria, thinking they would fall on the kids in the next period. Did they? Are they still up there?
After Johnson, I received an A.A. degree from Century College and had a blast in those bands too. Mankato State was a great experience, and I received my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 1986.
From there I worked at the NSP Prairie Island Nuclear plant for two years, then launched my own computer support company, NorthLand Computer Services, Inc. out of...Expand for more
Hastings, and the company ran me for about 18 years. Three fantastic kids came into my life during those years, and we actually skateboard (ahem, longboard) down our street now as often as we can. I was in Information Technology at Dakota County for six years, and now I'm a Management Analyst III with Ramsey County Community Corrections (interesting to be downtown St Paul again).
Deb and I live a comfortable, simple life in Mendota Heights, and we're involved with raising and showing Morgan horses (her thing), brewing beer (my thing), and in general, we're really enjoy everything right now.
Drop me a line some time. Lots of great memories from Johnson!
