Jim's Story
February 2009 to Present: Senior Assistant to the Deputy Director for Technical Intelligence, Office of the Director, Defense Research and Engineering (OSD/USD(AT&L)/ODDRE). Employed by SRA International to assist the Strategic Team and other ODDRE offices in working with the Intelligence Community (IC).
o Serves as the lead program coordinator and advisor to the Deputy Director for Technical Intelligence and represents him in his absence
o Routinely interacts and coordinates with SES and GS-15 levels across DoD, other departments and agencies, and foreign allies to coordinate, review, evaluate, and monitor US and allied S&T technical intelligence programs ¿ a very critical function to meet the ODDRE mission to minimize technical surprise

Trilateral Collaborative Effort (US-UK-AUS)
o Maintains direct, regular contact across OSD offices¿including frequent coordination with OUSD(I) and OUSD(P)¿and agencies of the Intelligence Community on strategically important issues and initiatives
o Independently manages major projects and initiatives of the ODDRE Technical Intelligence Program, as assigned by the Deputy Director for Technical Intelligence
o Provides broad range of support, as requested (e.g., plan, schedule, and participate in strategy and planning meetings; develop statements of work and other documents related to the Technical Intelligence Program; review and select intelligence reports and briefings to bring to the attention of the Deputy Director for Technical Intelligence and the Director, Plans and Programs).
