We moved to Ontario in 1965. My parents bought a house in a new housing tract on Mariposa St. The cul-de-sacs were located along the south side of G St. with Imperial Jr. High next to us. All around were open fields and grape vineyards. The newest school, Mariposa Elementary wouldn't be completed until the start of 3rd grade. I remember some of the kids and families from the neighborhood, Gary & Denise Schenck, Tony Carranza, Jim Spies, John & Larry Stack, Jeff Ludwig, Rusty Rosenthal, Gary & Debbie Bills, Jeff & Gary Smith, Humberto Macias. I attended Del Norte school for first & 2nd grade. I attended Mariposa Elementary for 3rd & 4th grade. My Parents divorced toward the end of the school year in '69 (4th grade). It devastated my Sister and I. Our normal life was torn apart. We lived all over the place for the next couple of years. We finally came back to Ontario in the summer of '71.
