Jim's Story

Life I retired some years ago so I could raise my kids & enjoy seeing them grow up. A person doesn't get to really know their kids when they work all the time. I did all I wanted to do, went everywhere I ever wanted to go, got all the education I would ever need & have seen all there is to see in this world, made all the money I needed & had the career I wanted to have. So it was time to settle down, marry & have a family. There are far more important things besides money & a career. People need to slow down & take the time to see their kids grow up rather than having a household always running & never really getting to know one another. The biggest mistakes so many Americans make are trying to associate money & careers with happiness. It's all a big lie. y. Being happy is a simple process of enjoying those we care about each day, taking time to listen to others when they need us to listen to what they have to say, always letting those we love & care about know how much they mean to us & taking time each day to be thankful for another day we have been granted & to reflect on our blessings. The simple life is the blessed life I have found. Having our daily needs met is all one really needs; anything more just takes time out of our day & can be a headache to tend with. We all need to be content with what we have, who we have in our lives & to thank God for putting special people in our lives who bless us through sharing their time with us. Life is a blessing & special people make our time here a gift. Let's remember to take the time each day to count our blessings & to be thankful.
