Jim's Story
I have been asked about what I did after Rose Hill. Just a little bit about me after graduation. I was fortunate to reach my dream of being a Commerical Pilot which let travel the world flying. After gaining flying experience with an airline, I got a bit bored of the back & forth routine and hotel life.So I ventured into starting an aircraft maintenance and modification operation for Commerical aircraft, that lead me into starting and operating over 6 different companies that specilized in aircraft engineering, alterations & modifications. he years grew expotentially and I was fortunate again to work some of the best personnel in the aviation business. Working with great people was one of my most rewarding benefits of running a business. After 36 years I started winding down most of those by selling them to employees and other companies. I spend a lot of my time now out at my ranch in SE Kansas or in my hangar/home on Cook Airfield between Rose Hil & Derby KS. I'm still active in aircraft Engineering and do some work with the FAA on certifiying aircraft & parts. Can't see me not continuing to fly my antique aircraft and work on them as well, so overall I feel really blessed with how life has gone. Hope you have to! Regards Jim McClean
