Jim's Story
Life
Graduated from high school and was not interested in college at that time. Not sure college was ready for me and my grades also. Joined the Air Force in November with the Pingrees. Went to Firefighting school in Mississippi and was stationed in England, Germany and back to Marin County for the last portion of 4 years. Married Deanna who lived in Marin County. Worked for Eastman Kodak in Palo Alto for one year and then joined the Palo Alto Fire Dept in 1966. Moved to Los Altos where we lived for 31 years. Retired on July 4th, 1998 from the fire dept as Deputy Chief and continued to manage our real estate partners...Expand for more
hips and tried to learn the game of golf. We have been in our Palm Desert home since November, 2001 and have no plans to leave the desert soon. We also have 5 1961 classmates living close by also. My daughter and family live in Carlsbad, San Diego County which is a fairly close drive for our visits.
Ken Haukom and myself have started planning for a 50 year reunion to be held on September 17, 2011. we have a small, dedicated group that would like to do another class reunion but our contact list is old and outdated. Please contact me with your current contact information via classmates.com
