This is the nut shell version of the 30 years since I graduated from Atascadero High School. Let me start by acknowledging the fact that I didn't graduate from San Luis High; I graduated from Atascadero, but I was born in Sierra Vista Hospital and attended Pacheco Elementary and San Luis Junior High until the 3rd quarter of 8th grade. I also spent a lot of weekends hanging out with Del Tanski, Gardner Cox, Dave Markum and Kenny Myers (etal). So although I didn't technically graduate from SLO I still find it to be a very important part of my memories. I hope you all won't mind. Now that that's out of the way, lets continue. I graduated from Atascadero High in 1980. I blew out my shoulder in the Atascadero/San Luis football game (ironic huh?) so my chances of playing in college were over. As I hadn't thought beyond playing in college I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life so I went to Cuesta to certify as a welder.
