Jim's Story
Life
Married, with children, and grandchildren. Retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years service. Originally drafted into the US Army and served in Korea. Was selected as a member of the 1967 US Forces Track Team, winning 2 gold medals in Japan at the Japan-American TAMA Games. Joined the USAF and served in Germany serving as a Supervisor Medical Technician. Was selected "Coach of the Year" while coaching the local high school kids to the European Football Championship. Represented the United States and the USAF during the United States of America's Bi-Centenial Celebrations (1776-1976), hosted by Helmut Schmidt-Chancelor of Germany. I also spent time on the base Honor Guard, Air Force and NASA Missile Launch Control Medical Team and member of President Reagon's West Coast Medical Team. Other assignments include Colorado, Ohio, Washington D.C. and Texas. Finished my tour of duty as the Superintendent, Neuro-Science Department, USAF Regional Medical Center, Wright Patterson AFB. Graduated from the University of Maryland. Currently in my 12th year working for a rural Texas Independent School District. Served as Director, Alternative Education Placement and In-School Suspension Program. Currently working in Special Education. Hopefully will continue my Education, working towards a Master's Degree.
