Jim's Story
Life
I spent more time behind the school than I did in class, so unfortunately, I wasn't a part of the class of '75 as much as I would have liked. I have many fond memories of Porter School ('65-'70) and Alameda High ('70-'73 although sporatically).
I just learned about classmates and was interested in hearing how everyone I knew then was doing today. A lot of time has passed since high school but in many ways I don't feel much older. I live with my wife Vickie and our three daughters Vivian, Sylvie and Liliane in Hockinson, Washington, a rural community 15 miles northeast of Vancouver, Washington (just north of Portland, OR). blic Affairs. I've been a guitarist and singer for about 30 years, having done hundreds of weddings and funerals. A few of the groups I've been with played alot of taverns and parties and a few of us were regulars on the street at Seattle's Pike Street Market. I remember music always playing a major role in the Bay Area as we grew up (do any of you remember school dances with Big Brother and the Holding Company? Cookin Mama? Tower of Power?).
2007 has been an eventful year - I turned 50, celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, put my first born behind the wheel and said good-by to my dad. It would be good to hear from any of my former classmates. I was known is Jim Taylor (my step dad's name), but shortly after leaving Alameda in 1973, I changed it back to my family name, Quintana.
I look forward to hearing from you. Jim
