Jim's Story
It's funny how we need to present ourselves, but in my situation, I don't need to deal with nuances. I'll place my post here - not really looking for a date like this link is apparently about. I got babes in my back pocket (or not) - as stated later, it's good to be me (sarcasm noted).
Kinda funny what we need to do, here's my resume (damn, I'm pretty damn good)!
Resume form of my work accomplishments:
District Construction Engineer, District 5, Iowa Department of Transportation, Fairfield, Iowa, 2015 to present. Get to oversee all construction is south central and southeast Iowa on the State and Federal highway systems. Sweet job. Not bad for a nerdy loser, huh?
District Materials Engineer, District 5, Iowa Department of Transportation, Fairfield, Iowa, 1996 to 2014.
Resident Construction Engineer, Iowa Department of Transportation, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, 1995-1996.
Resident Construction Engineer, Iowa Department of Transportation, Burlington, Iowa, 1991-1995. Engineer in charge of construction of Great River Bridge over Mississippi River (US 34) at Burlington - first and only cable stayed bridge in Iowa. This project ruled!
Engineer in Training, Iowa Department of Transportation, Manchester, Iowa, 1988-1991. Project manager for US 61 expressway through Dubuque - great experience.
Staff enigneer, Los Angeles County Department of P...Expand for more
ublic Works, Los Angeles, California, 1987-1988. operated groundwater recharge facilities in the LA basin, including the Rio Hindo Spreading Grounds - the largest such facility in the world at that time.
Graduated Iowa State University in 1987, B.S. Civil Engineering. Multiple scholarship recipient - not bad for a non-honor student!
Non-work profile:
Live in Burlington, Iowa (since 1991). Single, no kids, never married.
Avid golfer - not great but good.
Funnest memories of youth from working at Adventureland Amusement Park - certainly not from High School at Southest Polk - I was a nerdy geek to most of those clowns - don't miss a whole lot about that place. Done pretty well for myself after graduating, and despite the ridicule of high school, I turned out pretty well.
Back to Adventureland - I really loved that place, and greatly miss the friends I had there. If any of you read this, get ahold of me - I would like to how you have been.
I've had good times, and a few bad (my parents are both gone now, no relatives left). All things said, I've had it good. No ugly divorces like many of my friends, and my house is still mine!
Wish everyone well who may check up on me here - if you are a young and blonde babe with a knockout bod, I'm rich and available - OK, maybe not extremely rich, but better off than most.
