I worked with Ivan Dryer the founder of Laserium on laser shows for Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, U2 and others. Ivan is considered the Father of the Laser Light Show Industry.
Countless musicians have used products that I helped create and/or build from my early days at JBL (the Speaker Company) onward.
I am a Record Producer, Engineer, Musician and Inventor with experience in a vast range of skills covering the entertainment and technical fields. I am considered an expert in 3D computer graphics, and i was the chief visionary behind the 3dMAxMedia "Zuma Project", assembling the team which developed the technology to manipulate 3D imagery in real-time with audio, MIDI and other real-time control devices.
"Zuma" won a 2001 Innovation award from Computer Graphics World Magazine and was used on the 2001 NSYNC tour.
I recorded a solo album in the late 70's called "Beyond the Crystal Sea" this is considered one of the best examples of early "Art Rock" by many Collectors and Critics.
My project "Beyond the Gates of Time" was my first solo recording in which my inventions, the "Hotz Box"(MIDI Controller) and the "Hotz MIDI Translator" (Computer Software) were the primary instruments. Many Critic's have put my solo recordings in a category with Artists such as Pink Floyd, Genesis, the Moody Blues, Yes, the Alan Parsons Project and King Crimson.
The Honor Medal - I am a recipient of the The Honor Medal, which was presented to me by the Boy Scouts of America, for saving the life of another at the risk of my own life.
Over the years I have traveled to all 50 states and over 25 other countries.
I have been married to my precious, beautiful wife and best friend Nancy since November 4th, 1972. We have 3 daughters Rain, Heather and Holly and 1 son Justin. They are all married and raising families of their own.
