**Update #2** Wow! I'm away for six months, but just reconnected with my best friend in college... who, admittedly, I didn't treat very well WHILE we were friends, but didn't realize it until well after she left. She is doing amazing things, and hasn't let anything hold her back. You go girl! **update** This site helped me connect w/quite a few old friends, including one of my two best friends at Victor Valley and my best friend from Tunner and FAHS. Don't think anyone qualified for that term at Plattsburgh*. Anyway, I was using classmates.com to reconnect with people from my past. Some good reconnects (people doing well, in great relationships), some bad. Mostly, I feel thankful that I am where I am, and NOT in dead end jobs, abusive relationships, and a general world of hurt like some of my old buddies. It's sobering, because I really don't deserve any better than they. We were all brilliant, but most of us headed nowhere b/c we were too smart for our own good. I just happened to stumble into a man far better than me whose love got my head screwed on straight and helped me overcome serious "issues and hurts" that need not be named here. Those who know, know. Unfortunately, I think this site has quickly outlived it's usefulness. Every time I log in, you have to pay for something else that used to be free.
