Jo-Ann's Story
After high school I joined the Navy as a Dental Technician, stationed in San Diego and Newport. Got married, left the Navy had a daughter and a son. We moved to West Haven then to Milford. I went to work for Aerosol Techniques and then Owens Illinois as a Lab Technician. I divorced and went back to school and received my BS in Business Management from Sacred Heart in 1987. I remarried in 1993. Bob and I love to ski, hike, bike and he is an avid tennis player. Worked for Aquarion Water Co. in Water Quality Management for 18 years and in 2005 was offered with everyone over 50 years old an early retirement. So I took it. Bob and I had been to The Villages in FL for a look see in 2004 and fell in love with it. We came back in spring of 2005 and still loved it,so we bought a house. d I love it. I work part-time for The Villages CDD (we have our own gov't),a perfect little job. We go to the parks in Orlando a lot, we love the coasters and just enjoy life. 10/04/2011- I have finally retired and looking forward to what life has to offer. 2/23/2024 Since retiring I have found two wonderful groups of ex-military women, Bainbridge Navy WAVES, we all went to boot camp in Bainbridge, MD but at different times, and Tri-Country women Vets which is women from all branches of the Military. Such an amazing group of very special women.
Wonderful 50th class reunion, thanks to Maryann Weaver and the committee. Everyone looked great and it was so nice to connect with friends and classmates. Hopefully we can keep in touch through classmates and facebook. Jo-Ann
Note: I attended MHS my freshman year until JLHS was opened. Many of my friends from West Main St. school remained and graduated from MHS. I graduated from JLHS in 1964.
