Jo-Ann's Story

Okay...so it's been a looooong time! I went to Harold Sheppard School in the late 60's and left in 1970. I completed grade 5 while I was there. The reason we moved from Tracy was because my father died unexpectedly and my mother's family was from Shediac NB. I still live in NB and have been married since 1983. I have 2 boys, all grown up, and living in BC. I work part time at an elementary school, which coincidentally is also celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Unlike Harold Sheppard with its 82 students, we have close to 400 students at our school. There are more English speaking people in our area. So...I would love to hear from any students that went to Harold Sheppard while I was there.....Expand for more
.it would be amazing! I will not mention any names so I'm hoping some will remember me and some of the good times we shared as pre-teens. One memory that I have is going into the woods around the school to make "camps". I distinctly remember using branches with leaves to "sweep" the floors of our camps to keep them tidy. I also remember taking catechism lessons after school at the school. I remember going to swimming classes. I remember real Christmas trees in our classrooms at Christmas. I remember playing baseball. These are some of the things I remember doing. Just before we moved away, my mother had bought me an autograph book so I do have some names in it to help me remember that time in my life.
