My Job
I don't think there is a comprehensive way to describe what I do. Besides - I wouldn't classify it as a job - it is a calling. And for those who have difficulty speaking in public - try it - but w/the added knowledge that you are supposed to be sharing God's word - then tell me how nervous you might be. Anyway- I preach, teach, comfort, and partner with those on a spiritual journey. (This is kind of he "Reader's Digest" versio...Expand for more
n of what I do. I currently serve as the pastor of the Livingston Memorial Church in Linlithgo, NY. It is a joy and a privilege to be with this wonderful group of people.
UPDATE: Currently NOT serving a congregation but as John Wesley said, "the world is my parish." I'm a vol. Army Reserve Chaplain, vol w/HFH, community member of an animal welfare committee, and trying to start a foundation: Pearl Creek Farms & Sanctuary - where humans, animals and nature come together for hope & healing.
UPDATE - Pearl Creek Farm & Sanctuary will be incorporated within the next 2 months. It will be a haven of hospitality & healing for human & animal kind. We will be engaging in agro-tourism, leasing out farmland, rescuing horses, establishing a living farm museum, (think Holmdel Park, Holmdel NJ) and partnering w/local inns and b&bs to offer a place of rest, contemplation, socializing etc.
We are also in the process of becoming foster parents.
I always wanted to be a vet when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an ok idea except for the math & science part. idea. As it turns out, they were close..
The wildest thing I did in school? Uh uh, not telling.
Read, work outside, play the piano, hang out w/friends.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel every room and add on a pool. My dream home would be totally sustainable and always ready for friends and people to stay with us.
