Jo Ann's Story
Life
I have two daughters ages 41 and 35. The older one, Angela, a school administrator is married and the mother of my two grandchildren Morgan and Landon. Although I didn't have a son by birth, my son-in-law Scott is the best!!! The younger one, Kristyn works as an employee with an FSA benefits firm. She and her fiancé will welcome their first child and my third grandchild, Zara . And by the way Zara was born on my birthday. Both of my children hold graduate level degrees. As I tell everyone my children and grandchildren are my precious jewels.

In May, 2008, I received my second master's degree an M.S.W. from SUNY Buffalo. As Madea would say "Halleluyer". My life as a nontraditional graduate student was very challenging at times. However, through the grace of God along with the love and support of my children, family (bio & spiritual) and friends I was able to overcome those rough times.
Presenty I am employed as a school social worker in Buffalo, NY.
I've been a resident of New York State since 1991. Prior to moving to New York, I lived in Evanston, Il.
