Jo-anne's Story
Left the woods of Linden Valley near Lindsay after grade 11 for the desert/prairie of Medicine Hat, Alberta.
I actually gained a year on everybody back East as I started University Transfer at College when my Ontario friends went to grade 13. That's why my "class of" years may seem a bit wonky.
At College, I became an avid player of Dungeons and Dragons where a fellow gamer turned out to be my husband. We moved to Calgary for College/University.
We got married just before our last year.
We ended up back in Medicine Hat for his job. He robotizes vehicles...Expand for more

My career has been spent with children and seniors. I taught for a few years; then I counseled people with vision loss; then did both. (I went back because of a teacher shortage and did both jobs for half a year, but decided it was too hectic with a family). I'm teaching K part time now.
We have two kids: a boy 12, and a girl 9. He loves video games and reading. She is a dancer. They keep me on the go. Great ages as I finally get a little time for myself again. I'm actually reading again!
