Jo's Story
Hi to all. I just wanted to check in and see who's still around. I'm living in Marietta with my two cats, Moggy and Sammy. For those of you who don't know, my husband, Charles, passed away in 2004. I stayed in New Mexico until my house sold and then moved back here to be near my sisters. Charles and I married in 1995. For nearly 10 years before that I had been the medical librarian at St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta.
After our graduation in 63 I attended Tift College briefly, but opted to marry the next spring (huge mistake) and lived in California for a year. Being a Navy wife wasn't for me and I left California to return to Atlanta, where I worked for I...Expand for more
RS for a couple of years. I then met and married Mike Dilbeck (some of you met him at our 10 yr reunion. Mike and I had 2 sons and he had a daughter (happily married) I helped him raise. We divorced in 91(?) after being separated for 4 years. I went back to school (Kennesaw), got my BA in English Lit and went to work for St. Joseph's.
I now have one beautiful granddaughter, Lucy, just under a year, and two stepgrands Justin, 15, and Zoe,8, equally handsome and beautiful. They were my late husband, Charles's daughter's children.
So who I am is a retired, disabled grandmother, definitely in ideal spirits, glad to be alive and thanking God I still have a brain.
