Jo-Ellen's Story
Life
My family left Harlingen, Texas, after my tenth grade year and moved back to our home town of Tunica, Mississippi. I graduated from high school there and entered Belhaven College (now Belhaven University) in Jackson, Mississippi.

ve four sons, all of whom are now married. I now have eight grandsons and four granddaughters.
In June, 2003, my husband had a heart transplant, which caused major life changes, He passed away in 2021.
I retired from teaching secondary English several years ago but remain active in the Presbyterian (EPC) church in Tunica, including singing in the choir with my sister Linda. The life God has given me has been good, sometimes difficult, and never boring.
