Joan's Story
After graduation, I attended Concord College from 1965-1966. I then transferred to West Virginia University. In 1969, I received my Bachelor's Degree, with Majors in Education, English, and Library Science.
In 1971, I had Jody, the most beautiful, independent, little baby girl that was ever created. In 1972, I had a repeat performance with the birth of my handsome, intelligent baby boy. His name is Jon. I call him my walking encyclopedia.
To date, there are no grandchildren, but hope springs eternal. Right now, I consider all the beautiful children in my church, as my grandchildren. Fortunately, between teaching Sunday School and having the Children's Choir for ages 2 through the 5th grade, I have lots of prime time with them.

raduation from WVU, I have lived in Brunswick, Ohio
(outside of Cleveland), Hilton Head Island,South Carolina, Richmond, Virginia, and now Winston-Salem, NC.
Life has been good to me, especially for 25 years, and my children are wonderful. I am truly proud to be called their Mom.
My life was shaped by my family, friends, education, and experiences of growing up in Logan, WVA. For that I am very grateful. My annuals are on the shelf in my den, and often I take them down, look at pictures and the infamous signings, and go down memory lane with my childhood memories of Whitman, the memories of East End School, and of course, good ole Logan High School.
Thanks to each of you who helped to make those memories.
