Joan's Story
Feb 2018: my life is so different from when I made the original profile. I'm been a widow for almost 7yrs. My late Mom whom was living with me since May 2005 passed away in Sep 2016. My 22yr old son still lives at home, while working 30hrs a week and going to college part time, majoring in the music industry. I will celebrate 38yrs of service with 3M this July. I'm thinking about retiring in 2-3yrs. Goals for this year include for me to rescue two Boxer dogs to fill my home with their puppy energy. Taking walks with my two dogs & getting out of the house more, especially during Dodger baseball season. How about those Dodgers? 2017 was EPIC! Looking forward to the 2018 Dodger season. Perhaps I'll attend this year's 40th reunion?

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this past February 2008. We have been blessed with our only child, a son Kevin, who was born in August 1995....Expand for more
We currently have a home in Covina CA. We own a motorhome which we have taken through the states to Florida and Indiana and Washington state. Our family enjoys riding ATV's at Glamis during Thanksgiving, New Years and the Presidents Holidays. We enjoy going to Bolsa Chica beach yearly for a week in July. We waterski and fish, mostly on lakes and on occasion the Colorado river. I have been employed at the same business, 3M Unitek since 1980. My company manufactures all those braces the teens wear in high school, clear ones, gold ones and the original metal ones. Back in 2001, my husband took early retirement due to his health and is the stay at home parent, taking care of our son who is now in the 6th grade and is the finanical manager of our household. We opened our home to my mom in May of 2003, as my dad has Alzheimer's disease and needs specialized health care. I have recommitted my life to Christ in May 2001.
