Life
2-13-2005 I am looking to get in touch with everyone I can think of. I am very married to a great guy. I have three kids, Alex, almost 26 (May), Sarah was 21 in November and Katrina will be 15 in May. I am not even close to being on the path I had envisioned when I took off to set the world on fire back in ...74-I felt I had had enough of high school and convinced, with my parents' help, Mr. Chein to allow me to challenge regents and graduate at the ripe old age of 16. Needless to say, I came back for more matches and am very blessed to have such unconditionally loving parents. I am just starting to think about figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. I've had jobs and worked most of the time after my 'college' thing but my main concern has been to raise the kids and they've done pretty well in spite of the life I gave them (grin-THANKYOU, GOD, NO KIDDING). So I'm actually not planning on doing anything about a career path until I'm at least...50? Sounds good. Katrina's home for a couple more years, probably. I'll just keep -- working. It's great! I am reasonably happy and I think that is more than we can ask for. My kids are healthy-another gift from God and they are morally decent human beings, as kids go these days, I think. They definitely are kind to the slow and the weak as long as they are not cruel or nasty. They are quite a bit smarter than I was but I'm OK with that and slowly learning a thing or two. They have had a few hard knocks-something I never experienced, really, as a kid-- and have taken the knowledge gained and run with it. (I'm really into my kids-you probably can't tell) Alex sells handicapped equipped conversion vans. He learned about those when he was working with his Dad's cousin and some time he spent with my uncle when he was younger. Sarah is the bartender for a place that she helped her friends open last year. Alex has two years of college, Sarah has one semester. She said there's no point in paying for anym...Expand for more
ore right now because she's really not motivated to make it worth her money. Alex is going back to work on the second two but is not planning on leaving work to do it. He will rearrange some work because he's straight commission and he'll figure it out that way. Katrina was planning on being a truck driver for the first few years of her young life but now she's leaning more towards rocket science. We have a beagle. That's Karen Zambryski's fault. She dragged him home and then, in a very long and complicated story, she made me take him. He's great, though. Of course, by the time I got him he had use of three legs and one eye. He's getting pretty gray but doing OK. We also have a cat. That would be Mary Brockway's fault. She ran into me one day and told me she wanted to watch the girls (a few years ago) on a Saturday (I was working every Saturday, then). She neglected to inform me that she was bottle feeding a kitten and they would be helping her with that. So ... I wound up with this cat. He's good about mice. He refuses to accept the fact that he's neutered...that's pretty bad. He's loveable, though but just when you think he's getting friendly he inserts his claws... ...just like a lot of people I've met over the years. That's it. No grandchildren. No married kids. My sisters are doing great. Alice, Carolyn, Sharon-they are all well. Life is good. Both Mom and Dad are doing great. Dad forgets sometimes that he's 79 and that's pretty hard on his body. He has to have some shoulder repair sugically done because of his antics. He does have a good time and you can't take that away from him. Mom does, too, really. She looks out the window and says things like, 'Clarence, you crazy nut...(giggle)...when are you going to learn (sigh)...' Sometimes she watches him from the dock while he sails. That's how she noticed when he capsized his sailboat this past fall. So, you see what I mean about her having a good time-or at least plenty of entertainment
