Joan's Story
Life
After HS graduation, I went to UCLA. I got a BA in Theatre Arts, stayed in LA and worked in insurance by day while doing student and no-pay films trying to become a big movie star. Obviously am not, so went back to SCI-Arc in 1996 and got a Masters Degree in Architecture (which had been my other interest in high school). I moved back up to the Bay Area ...Expand for more
after graduating in Jan. 2000. I'm still working at the same firm in SF (minus 7 months away at a much more corporate place; nice people but not my cup of tea). Married my husband, Neal (also an architect, but no, we didn't meet at work) in Sept. 2003. We had our beautiful boy, Archer, in June 2005 and our newborn daughter, Scarlett, was just born in May 2007.
