Joan Marie's Story

Joan is from Greenfield Park, Quebec. Joan's schools include Royal George High School. Life isn't measured in minutes.... ....it's measured in moments! Favourite Things: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens........ Music: Paul McCartney's Mull of Kintyre as performed live on stage with the EPS Pipe and Drum Corps providing the lilt, Northlander, and anything with a rompin stompin two-steppin' beat because I love to dance, especially the two-step. Books: Sidney Sheldon/Tilly Bagshaw, John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, Elin Hildebrand Novels, Peggy Rowe's memoirs and non-fiction focused on economics, private sector business, political history/current events. Quotes: "Life is like a box of chocolates....you just never know what you're gonna get!" Forrest Gump "Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth." Mark Twain "When we become too comfortable we become complacent. I like the feeling of being a tad uncomfortable as it keeps me astute and aware and always looking for resolutions to problems." JMH "An intelligent man will open your mind. A handsome man will open your eyes. A gentle man will open your heart." "Life is short, time is fast. No replay, no rewind. So enjoy every moment as it happens and make your DASH matter." Anonymous "Never underestimate the power of your mindset. Your mindset has the ability to shape your thoughts; and we all know that thoughts become things. What you think about all day is what you end up manifesting. What are you going to be manifesting today?" Pam Lehr "Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That's why we call it the present." Winnie the Pooh “We are never left with nothing as long as we retain the freedom to choose how we will respond”-Viktor Frankl "The things that make your heart beat faster and your eyes glow brighter when you do it or talk about it, no matter what it is, do it. Do it as often as you can. That is what life is all about. Create as many passionate, happy moments as possible. Don’t let anyone stop you from doing the things you love - not even yourself." "You are the most valuable investment you will ever make. Invest your time and energy into what makes your soul happy, and your heart full. You don’t ne...Expand for more
ed to make excuses for putting yourself first; although it may not always be possible, you should still make yourself and your well-being a priority." Pam Lehr “May those who love us, love us; And for those who don't love us, May God turn their hearts; And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May He turn their ankles, So we will know them by their limping.” An Old Irish Curse "Don’t lose your focus by feeding your distractions. Channel your time, your energy into being productive. Always keep your goals in your sight. Stay focused. Stay determined. Stay humble." "Nothing happens by accident and even those which we would like to take back bring us to the places we needed to be. We are who we are, because of the choices we made not the choices we thought about." From an Irish FB friend: "Too soon old.....too late smart!" "Don't underestimate me. I know more than I say, think more than I speak, notice more than you realize! I can think for myself, I have opinions, I am completely at peace and fully in charge of my beliefs and feelings." Flowers: Alberta Wild Rose, Dogwoods, Pansies, Daisies, Poppies, Mini Carnations and field flowers that grow wild in the forest or in a mountain summit's meadow.
