Joan's Story
After Grad I worked at Burrard Dry Dock for a year or so then worked in the accounts department of a General Insurance Company in Vancouver. In 1966 I was married and since my husband was in the RCAF we were posted to Greenwood, Nova Scotia. Both our daughters were born in Nova Scotia. We had further postings to Edmonton, AB, Moose Jaw, SK, Edmonton again then Cold Lake, AB. We retired to the Edmonton area in 1995.

da (13 years). During this time I was also a Play School Assistant Teacher for 5 years. I am now totally involved in Genealogy; tracing my family roots! I have found many relatives thru email and we have travelled to England, Scotland, Wales as well as many parts of Canada & US to meet up with most of them.
We have 4 grandchildren, the oldest is 21 and youngest is 8. We travel to see them and keep in contact via phone, email & video cam. Modern technology is a great thing!!
