joan's Story
wish i had a BIG story to share but here goes. started out at sans souci dress shop in aug of 65. tried lcc for about 10 minutes and decided school wasnt for me. went to work for michigan bell tele co in july66. after about 6 years moved to salinas calif. my daughter was born in carmel calif in 1972. moved back to michigan until i couldnt take mich winters anymore. my parents and aunt lived in lake worth fl so i went there to settle. live in fla 25years and my daughter moved to high point nc so mark and i followed. she got married in st augustine fl and we all hauled ourselves back for the wedding. my 1st grandson was born in may of 2003 and my grand daughter was born in oct 2005. they are so beautiful and smart. i babysat all the time when they were little. watched lots of poopies go down the toilet!!!i retired from bell in 1996 and after 3 months of looking for a great job i settled at the olive garden rest. i worked in fla for 5 years and when i moved to nc i worked another 10y...Expand for more
ears at the olive garden in winston salem training the host staff.like i said not big but i have been very blessed along the way. God is good. i recently moved to the mountains in blairsville ga. we bought a cabin and are having lots of fun getting the outside stained, inside painted and planting trees, flowers etc. lots of work, but when it is all completed i will have a a little slice of heaven. the . views out the back are mountains and meadows below. deer roam close by and neighbors are all retired from fla. big surprise.i love looking in the yearbook and remembering such fun people like---char brown cindy newman brenda moffitt jan griffin barb bishop sandy clark marcia macutcheon nancy doll cindy anderson jeff grill bill rich tom sims bob newman and wayne niles kathy look and mickey debnar and pat harrison. i wish i could keep naming friends but no more room to write. my love to you all and keep up the fun reunions. my last was the 25th and i had soooo much fun.joan navue brown
