Joanne's Story
I am a single grandma that works for the Public Health in the County of Ventura in California. In a nutshell, after graduation, had my daughter (oops), I married (someone else), moved to Vallejo,had my son (oops), worked at KMart, moved to Ohio, worked in a Nursing Home, worked in the Post Office of Springfield, separated and moved back to CA, went to Nursing School at Ventura College while on welfare dole (divorced during this stretch of time), been working as an R.N. ever since. Relationships?? nope, dated a wonderful guy 10 years ago and when that went south, refused to date again. gained weight, stopped taking care of myself, and focused on my kids. Now: I want to get my FNP, lost over 45 pounds, taking much better care of me, but not enough for my friends it seems, and trying to get my stuff together. lmao. will let you know if I manage it. maybe in 30 years time. lmao. late winter or early spring to meet the family. We are both looking forward to seeing eachother again. I feel great about it and still hopefully with some concrete reasons. My Joe is an adorably loyal and sweet man. He accepts me for who I am. He doesn't want to change me. He loves me. My best male friend. I can not ask for more. I have it all.
My grandson is 4 years old and too smart for his own good. My daughter is 23 and out of the house. She works full time for PetCo management and goes full-time to Ventura College. My son is 21 and still home. He works part time at Borders and goes full time to Oxnard College.
My brother and his wife now live in Camarillo, so she is closer to her family. He is a Captain for Continental Express Airlines and his wife June is a Physical Therapist. Mom is a labor union representative for CSEA employees within sections of Ventura County and will retire in Jan 2011. My father has been disabled since 1975. Enough information!?
