Joanne's Story

Life Since graduating from high school, in 1973, I have lived in Western Massachusetts, the last 5 years, living in the Amherst area. I have 3 daughters, ages 20, 15, and 10. We have two black labs; Toby and Taz. I am a Government Employee, working full time in the medical field. In my spare time, I enjoy being out doors, television, exercising, and working on my computer. I would like to hear from other classmates, especially Ellen. School I attended Berlin Memorial School when the school was located on Linden Street, where we read about Dick and Jane, and had a great kickball team when I was in the 5th grade. in l973, before the tornado took all the trees from around the school. I also remember the statue of the Stag being outside the school. It is a mystery to this day as to who stole it. I believe it was a gang from our rival school Nashoba Regional. Attended Westfield State College, graduating in l977. I returned in 1999, doing graduate work toward a teaching certificate, finishing my course work at UMASS. Since then, I have left the education field, working for the government, in the medical field, which I enjoy more than any other job I have held in my life. I live in the Amherst area and would love to hear from classmates from the class of TRHS 1973.
