Joanne's Story
Life
Three days after graduation my family took us to Taipei, Taiwan. My dad's company (General Instrument) tranferred us there. I was there for 14 months. while there I took some college classes, explored the huge city and met my future husband (Steve) who was there with his folks who were in the Army. In 1970 I came back and went to Concord College in Bluefield for 1 yr. Then I moved to El Paso, TX in spring of 1971. I married Steve in May 1972. He is a registered nurse and we moved in Nov. 1974 to Idaho Falls, ID for 2 yrs. After that we were in Eugene, Oregon for 5 yrs and then Seattle, Wa for 2 yrs and then moved here in Roseburg Oregon. 87 (after being married 15 yrs) we started our family with our son, Paul. 1990 we gave him his brother Aaron.
I have been working in banking or accounting in all of my moves. Currently I work in an Admin office doing accounts payable for 30 physicians that have offices all over Roseburg. My oldest is a senior and the youngest a freshman in high school.
I do genealogy for fun and some cross-stitch. My husband works the very busy emergency room at the hospital a few blocks from us. And we both love to travel.
I would love to communicate with anyone from my class, especially anyone that remembers the quiet shy person I was. Life has changed all that!
