Joanne's Story

Life A surprise to those who knew me? Shy little me becoming a belly dancer on stage. One "do over"? I'd be nicer to those I ignored and ignore those who were less than nice to me in school. Who I most want to see? Eveline! Biggest life change? Changing life's priorities due to being a cancer survivor; getting off the shallow merry-go-round of life, becoming Eastern Orthodox, and focusing on what really matters. er a priest-monk and hope to be blessed soon to write/paint the ancient icons on my own for the Church and other Christians. I'm a "Matushka" (little mother) as Bill was ordained into the holy order of the diaconate. He's Father Alexander now. Our son is to be married next year and our daughter will finish college soon after a difficult health battle. Both are our greatest treasures. Oh, and I did find Eveline Grovesteen, and a few others, thanks to facebook. How do I hope to be remembered? As someone who was kind. Life has been a terrific spiritual journey of faith-building and I can't wait to see what lies ahead. If I have ever offended any of you in those few short years at WR, forgive me. Take care, all, and many blessings in the next decade.
