Joanne's Story
Life
Where do I start? Born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia in 1961, I spent most of my childhood moving around between Nova Scotia and Ontario, because my dad was in the Navy. Dartmouth, Ottawa, Petawawa and Langford/Victoria, B.C. hold my greatest memories. My father was transferred to CFB Downsview in Toronto in 1975, and there we stayed. I graduated high school at C.W. eight years, then at Manulife Financial for eight years, both in Toronto. Travelled during this time, mostly to Ireland. Met my soulmate in 1990, but we didn't date until 1994. We're still happily together. I received my B.A. in History last year at the University of Toronto (better late than never!). We had our wonderful son, Karlis, in 2002 and returned to Toronto in late 2003. We've been here since but are now contemplating yet another move - this one will be the last, let's hope. You'll never guess where - back to Victoria.
