Joanne Nass's Story
Life
Married for 24 years, OMG that's almost a quarter of a century. OOF.
I could go on and on about my wonderful memories of life, let me see if I could list a few that other's that know me may understand:
(*)Throwing apples at cars and running into the corn fields
(*)Raking up leaves to jump either from the swing or a ladder into them
(*) Family baseball games that went on and on
(*)My first "engagement" with a bubble gum ring put in the mulberry bush
(*) One of my first dates w/Tweed after a carnival in town in which he won me a orange teddy bear make the 3 pins fall down in one roll
(*)MMMMmmmmmmmmmm Gus' Pizzaa
(*)Moving to Chicago with great fear
(*)4 years of a great high school and all the fun with it
(*)A wonderful man that was part of my life for 5 years before I got married. A true love that will never go away.
(*)Finally settling down to start a family
I stay at home now. Loving the pool, sun, Florida weather. I was an executive secretary in Chicago for over 12 years and the same for the CFO of BorgWarner Automotive for a year or two.
What did I miss? Can anyone remind me of more wonderful fun fun fun?????
School
Grrrrrrrrrrr I keep forgetting to submit and I have to do all over again. Be thankful, It's shorter each time.
Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin - St. Paul Lutheran School grades K-1st semester of 5th grade (1967-1972). Favorite teacher was Mr.Pechous, he was my 4th grade teacher. 1966-1972
Whitewater, Wisconsin - Lincoln Elementary shool grade 2nd semester of 5th grade through 6th grade 1972 - 1973. Most inspiring teacher was Miss Hach. Very stern but I learn a heck of a lot in her class as she was very much on memorization......especially ALLL of the important dates of time. I...Expand for more
think the only crush was the boy across the street from me. Oh yes, and maybe Jimmie Fero - our paper boy.
Whitewater, Wisconsin - Jefferson Junior High - Mr. Hoyt was my favorite teacher. He taught Histroy in 7th grade. Oh but there were my "boyfriends" by this time - Mark Watson, Scott Sweno, ahhhhhhhhh and the important one during that time - Anthony (Tweed) Johnston. Where have they gone?
Cicero, Illinois -Morton East High School - One of the first things that was ever told me was "Make these years the best years of your life, because they are and they go by much to quickly". Harrod Herring. He was right and I wish I could do it over and over again. Favorite teachers during that time was Pat Darragh; even though I had to write "oh my bloody teath" 500 times for talking in class. And Mr. Ostrowski that could get us out of any study hall or any "not so important class) to sit in his office so we could smoke. 1975-1979
Whitewater High School has many of my whitewater friends I may want to connect with. I know there is on very special one that I've been in contact speratically but would surely love to talk to others I know. My Special someone was my first true love. We each have our own family but we also know deep with that our love will forever be in our hearts.
Ok, there are my school memories.
