Joanne's Story
Life
I have moved a lot since High School. I have lived in Kemano, Stewart and Prince George in BC, Moose Jaw and Regina in Saskatchewan and I Presently live Calgary, Alberta.
I spent the first years after high school waitressing and volunteering for the Stewart Legion. After leaving BC for the first time, I was given the opportunity to go to college and to get a diploma in data processing, I proceeded to get a job with Alcan in Kemano BC programming.
My first child was soon to be and it was decided that we should move to Prince George, BC, where I stayed at home with the first child (Julia) and had a second (Pamela). After 8 years in P...Expand for more
rince George, My husband and I decided it would be good to go back to Kemano. We stayed there until 2000 when the company decided to close the town. I left Kemano early and proceeded to Calgary to get retrained in the Information technology field.
I have worked for the City of Calgary since 2001. Presently, I am the Incident Management Process Manager. I have been very lucky as I have two very hard working children, one is Graduating this year at the University of Calgary, the other is now in her second year at Emily Carr University in Vancouver and a wonderful artist. I have been very fortunate to find happiness in my home and work life.
