Joanne's Story
Life
I am currently divorced with 2 teenagers. My son and I have moved back from Orangeburg, South Carolina to Island Lake, Illinois where my mom use to live. I am currently unemployed looking for work. I did attend Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College to get my degree in business to start my own floral and gift shop. I went to Oakton Community College for 2 years until the 1979 fall school year where I then went to work full time. My kids did attend Edisto High School in Cope, SC. Now my son will be attending Wauconda High School for the next 2 years.
I enjoyed my years at Maine West. I just wish I would have stayed active and done some of the things that I wanted to do then, but things...Expand for more
change and I have had to move on.
Where have you lived? Why did you move?
Well I would have to say that I have moved to two different states. I have lived in California because my ex-husbands family moved there and wanted us to move there with them. His mother wanted to be close to her immediate family. The second state that I have moved to was here in South Carolina. I was miss lead by a guy who I thought loved me and it turned out all that he wanted was sex. I was very valnerable at the time and should have thought it through before moving. That is how we ended up here in South Carolina. Now I am back in the Chicago area where I belong. Looking forward to hooking up with some old friends.
