Joanne's Story
Life
I have 2 sisters Jeananne "Jeannie", Lili and a brother John nickname "Bull". I was born in NYC and moved to the Boulevard Gardens when I was two and lived there until I was 23. My bestfriend was Martha Beckmann and 50 years later, she still is.
I moved to Florida in 1986 and have been here ever since, in fact my whole family ended up here, except my brother John.
I have one son who turns 34 in Feb. OMG, where did the time go?
I had a wonderful childhood with great memories. This site has connected me with some of my old friends and schoolmates and I have also made some great new ones.
School
My first love was when I was 14 with Guy Cuomo. We dated for a few years on and off. I recently found out that he passed away in 99.
My second grade teacher Ms. Classen, I adored her and wanted to be just like her. She was the only teacher that wasnt a nun at that time.
I remember that all through grammar school I had so many friends. I was always hanging out either down front...Expand for more
and as I got older I graduated to up back..
I do remember in the early 60's, when I was about 10 years old. In the Boulevard Gardens, in front of J building, a group of us would get together and the boys would stand on a bench and imitate the Beatles and of course all the girls were the fans and we would Scream and pretend to faint and fall on the grass, I do remember that crowd, we had Dennis McGrath, Ralph Esposito, Arthur Haggerty, Frank Eufemia, Margaret Milano, Lynn Pelton, Christine Svec, Martha Beckmann, Bobby Michaels ? just to name a few...What a bunch of crazy kids.

Workplace
I have been in retail management for many years. I got my real estate license in 2005 and sold timeshare. I currently work as an Independent Contractor processing short sales.
Facebook
I recently found most of my friends that I grew up with on Facebook. It is fantastic reconnecting, making lost old friends new ones!
