Jodi's Story
Life
I've been living in Massachusetts for almost fifteen years now, ever since grad school. I'm on faculty at Boston University, teaching foreign-language diction for singers and running undergraduate opera; I also teach classes at a local performing-arts magnet high school and play for the Boston Symphony's Tanglewood Festival Chorus. During the summer I'm an opera coach at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, which is probably my favorite part of the year. I've been married for eight years and live on Boston's North Shore.

I teach classes at BU and at Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts; I play rehearsals at Symphony Hall for the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, I'm the assistant director and rehearsal pianist for Boston GirlChoir, a chamber chorus of talented high school women, and during the summer I coach at Tanglewood. Frequently I travel and give recitals with bass-baritone Simon Estes; the most recent performance we gave was in Harvard Square for the inauguration of their new president. I'm also starting to compose, and gave the first recital of my own works last summer at Tanglewood.
