Jody's Story
Life
I have remarried and have seven children five of whom are my own ages 10, 7, 3, twins 1 year and two daughters from Paula. That makes NINE. We live in Lucerne Valley Ca. on ten acres which is on the back side of Big Bear. We enjoy off road riding, camping and traveling across the country. We attend Pow-Wows in which my girls dance for competition and its alot of fun. I collect old Chevy trucks and have a collection of Husqvarna race bikes. As a family we ride our quads and motorcycles out our back yard which is the Johnson Valley OHV area. My wife hobbies include sewing and making Native American crafts. I will be retiring in 2011 and will be able to spend most of my time with the wife and children. We bought a farm in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan were my wife is from. Its next to her reservation on Keweena Bay. To cold for this Pasadena native. Once was a hippie now a yuppie and soon to be yippie cause yippie I'll be retired. :)

I have spent my entire carrer in Fire Fighting starting in Orange County with the Calif. Dept. of Forestry (1975-1977). I recieved a job with the South Pasadena Fire Dept. in 1977 promoting to Engineer in 1980. I left the Department in 1989 due to an injury. I was offered a job with the Bureau of Land Management in 1991 at the Apple Valley Fire Center and worked there till 2001 when I was offered a job with the U.S. Forest Service/San Bernardino National Forest. I am currently a Captain working out of Station 19 Lucerne Valley, co-op station with Cal-Fire (formaly calif dept of forestry)with a Captain I worked with in Orange County as firefighters. Small world. When I worked for South Pasadena we bought property just out side of Lucerne to ride our dirt bikes and I used to drive by the station in Lucerne Valley and think "what a god awful place to work". Now look at me, just like SoPas I am ten minutes from work and living in Lucerne Valley. :)
