Joe's Story
Didn't finish H.S. Went into the Army and came out with Computer skills. Went to work in downtown Chicago for a while. Ever been downtown during St. Patrick's Day? Pretty cool.
Drifted a while then, decided to embrace Bible studies. I sure learned a lot about life and have been able to see many positive things in my life since then.
Was married for ten years during the second half of the eighties and the first half of the nineties. Haven't made that kind of commitment since.
Currently, switching careers from Computer Specialist to Christian Counseling. Hey, someone's gotta do it, especially with our youth coming back from the craziness of battle overseas.
Enrolled in College classes and doing pretty well. For a while, I wondered if I was up to it, at my age; but I'm doing pretty good with it.
Living in Wisconsin (Madison area) for now, but looking to make a move to the South before winter clobbers us here. Who the hell wants ...Expand for more
to shovel snow and shiver when the South is a snowball's throw away? Looking to move to Phoenix, AZ.
I still love good Rock n Roll and found a bar/diner that plays it all day long. Great place to take lunch or just groove at night. I still shoot pool, and they have a couple of tables there.
I still wear Jeans (think 70's) but I keep my hair trim. I could never grow it out well, anyway.
My friends from H.S. might think it different for me, being the hippie I was, but I am wearing glasses, now. Must of been all the LSD, and party times I enjoyed with the best of you!
I am still the same boy/man I was in High School, but with a lot more love and have much to offer.
I remember laying on my back in the sweet grass of Wampum Lake with my favorite girl (Patty) without a worry in the world. We would talk about things like 'sun signs' or whether she liked her hair braided in front.
Magic, magic times - I wouldn't trade em for anything!
