Joe's Story
Life
After getting a masters at MSU I worked in the Broadcasting Industry for 23 years. I managed and or owned radio stations in Lansing (WVIC) Grand Rapids (WZZR) Fort Wayne, Ind. (WOWO) and Detroit (KISS-FM). I was Central Division Manager for the Arbitron Research Company (Does all the ratings for radio & TV)in the early 80's. For the last 14 Years I have owned my own management consulting firm, Crystal Clear Concepts, Inc. with my partner in life and business, my wife Cynthia. daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. I became a Zen Buddhist fifteen years ago and practice at the Detroit Zen Center. I feel young and stay very active cycling and swimming. After 37 years away from competitive swimming I started competing in the Masters Swimming program. I've had more success as a master athlete than I ever did in high school or college. I've placed as high 2nd in the nation in my specialty, distance freestyle. To all my old teammates from ELHS... I don't like working out now any more than I did then. The only difference is I don't have a coach telling me what to do. I workout on my own.
