Joe's Story

Well now, there's been so much happening since my last entry on Classmates. To give an update to all that have an interest, thinking it would be a good time to share with my fellow classmates on a cold February night. Anticipating that many of you (in most cases) have a burning desire to know how the invention turned out (Flying ship). You wouldn't believe it, unless your undying trust wasn't riding on the reputation of yours truly. The fact of the matter is; our test mice on the project became obnoxiously demanding. Those little boogers got together and formed a union (behind my back) and afterwards went on strike for more compensation and benefits along with that nightmare, the company got slapped with a discrimination lawsuit. Combined with all this, and the fact the company simply couldn't afford such exuberant demands, the company simply folded. The assets were auctioned to the highest bidder. The lawsuit got dropped later for lack of evidence (dodged a bullet on that one). While today, its back to the think tank, with "fresh" innovative ideas (can't say yet due to patent requirements) although it does have something to do with "horse manure".. However, I can say through the power of prayer all has changed for the better now. "Married up this time" (October of 2012) not to brag, this one has a full set of teeth. We moved up in neighborhood too..! We have the largest lot in the park. Complete wit...Expand for more
h a chain-link fence (fence needs repair, just been too busy) couldn't pass this deal up. Large home, a 60 foot 1959 model (the one with the fins, similar to the 59 Cadillac). Semi complete two-tone aluminum exterior. Although it needs some tweaking an experiencing some paint fade, and the roof needs re-tarring (just been too busy). Nice yard, but the grass hasn't came in yet. As a bonus the place came with extra cars, and parts placed here and there. Really need to borrow a weed-eater before showing the place off. The shed out back has seen better days. A little hammerin an nailin along with some duct tape, and gorilla glue should make it better than new. Mentioning earlier about the "park" we're situated on a corner lot. As an added feature next to our lot, lies the sewage treatment facility with a rather large "KEEP OUT" sign. While reading recently the Japanese have discovered millions in sewage treatment plants, they found while sifting through the sludge, traces of gold and silver were present. A medium sized city could reap upwards $16mil a year! Although harvesting is quite another story (don't have room to explain). Found a discarded fish tank net lying in the yard, near one of the free cars we inherited. So an additional plan on the ever growing list, is to make time during twilight hours to do some of my own sifting. But only when the manager is fast asleep. COPYWRITED JOSEPH DERLETH 2015.
