Life At the moment I live on the island of Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands about 7,000 miles from Grand Junction across the Pacific Ocean. I'm a pediatrician married to another pediatrician (we'll be married 12 years this August) with three children ages 10, 5, and 2. I work at the only hospital on the island, doing some general pediatrics, some neonatology, some child abuse work, and I occasionally transport ill children to places like the Philippines, Japan, Hawaii or California. Although tropical sunsets are beautiful, living long term on a tropical island is a lot like camping. Grocery stores here are about the size of a gas station in the states, and the produce section leaves much to be desired.
