Joseph's Story
Moved to Kankakee Illinois the summer of my senior year. Attended Westview High school and had enough credits for Illinois to graduate in January 1970. My wife Janet Wilson and I are in the 1970 Westview High School Kankakee Illinois yearbook. Joined the Army in February 1970 and served as a flight engineer on a Chinook helicopter in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne for 1 year. Moved back to Gaffney in ...Expand for more
1972. Missed you all our senior year. Retired after 40 years with Detroit Stoker Company out of Monroe Michigan where I got to travel the world as a service consultant on stokers (floor of a boiler where coal, wood, trash and anything else that will burn). Grandson Jakob Poole (son of Michael and Michelle) attended West Point Military Academy and now flies Chinook Helicopters stationed in Fort Bragg NC.
