Joe's Story

Life Hello- Since graduating from Daemen College in 1995 with a BA degree in Social Work I spent 3 years in Erie, PA working as an Employment Specialist for the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Center. Employment Specialist is an expensive name for a Job Coach for people with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and physical disabilities. In the summer of 1998 I began dating my wife Ann (just before) I started graduate school at the Univ. of Maryland @ Baltimore. A very long distance romance from Erie, PA to Baltimore ensued and I proposed 4 days prior to graduation in May 2000. anoke, Virginia from the summer of 2000 til present day. Adriana is my stepdaughter....I love her very much....she was only 8 when I met her and now she will beign college in the Fall of 2007. (man I feel old!) Alexa is my 4 year old daughter and as fiesty as can be (cutie) and she has me wrapped around her little finger so to speak. :) Ann works as a Mortgage Analyst...good thing...I'm horrible with the whole home owner thing. I work as a Student Assistance Program Coordinator for a local high school (2007-08) will be my 3rd year. I worked as a treatment foster care social worker for 5 years prior to my current position.
