Joe's Story

After High Shool I moved to Santa Maria and attended the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts. That's where I met mt wife. I went there a year and decided acting wasn't my thing, so we moved back down here and I became a music major at Mt. Sac. Unfortunately going to college full time and working full time was too much for me, so I dropped out of college. We lived in Azusa Canyon for 6 years. (We've been married 28 years) We had a cabin up at Camp Williams which was really nice. I worked off and on at the campground from maintenence to cook. I ended up getting involved in telecommunications while I lived up there and when my wife got pregnant, we decided to move down to the flatlands. The mountains can be a bit rough. senior engineer at the company I work for, although right now I'm on disability. I had knee surgery last November that went terribly wrong and I've been in constant pain ever since. They actually had me on an oxycontin and morphine cocktail for a while, which even that didn't help. I'm usuing neuruo feedback for what has been diagnosed as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I've been to 8 doctors and to USC to be diagnosed. I'm waiting for a new treatment that should be approved the week of 2/18/08. (Note: Don't wear a "Go Bruins" shirt if you go to USC Med Center) "No need for anestethia for this patient." I live in Lakewood CA with three dogs and two cats, and two daughters. One we adopted when she was 14. But that's a whole different story.
