Johanna's Story
Life
I have been married for 24 yrs with two kids. We have two great kids: 23 and 16. As a family we enjoy camping at Steel Creek in Morganton, NC and roller skating at the local rink. I really miss going to the fair, ox roasts, maple festival, and pumpkin festival each yr. I also miss seeing the great friends from school and family everyday. Hope to see everyone at the next reunion.
School
One of my biggest crushes was Don Atwood, who I first met when I was 13 and he was 16. He worked at Dutch Country Kitchen then. The teacher that inspired me the most Mrs. Dunfee from Shorthand class. If it hadn't been for her I probably would have never decided to continue...Expand for more
in the medical field today. I would go back to those days just to be able to keep in touch with the great friends that I had, Darwin DeMattia, Donna Boardman, Carolyn Sayhers, and Michelle Roski. I remember spirit week and all of the crazy costumes that everybody wore, including when the most of the guys wore mini skirts to get the dress code changed for everyone to wear shorts.
College
I graduated from the Foothills Nursing Program in NC on May 8, 2007, with an Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN/RN).

Military
I wouldn't change a thing about the 4 years I spent on active duty and the 10 1/2 years with the reserves.
