John (Jack)'s Story
Update Jan 2015. Well i slide by last year not making and update on the site and I am truly challanged on keeping up with where to do social media to keep in touch with friends and yet not have it so controlling that I miss an important event or update. Grandkids in college and grade school so the young continue to keep me young. Still doing the business for a few more years and have a good take over prospect. I always thought it was "good" news when a store was ciosing because there would be these great sales but you don't realize how hard someone has worked to put that business into place. Hard hard work and a shame if they don't get passed on or bought out. HOPE TO SEE ALL CLASS OF 1965 AT THE REUNION AND HAVE A GREAT TIME.
Update March 2012 Yes i did hit the site once in a while to see who "new" is there. I continue to run across old friends and at this point "old" is probably not a needed reference. Some from 4-H and some just various life contacts. On FACEBOOK and no I am not a Nascar driver. We did make a cruise around the Mexican "riveria" as one of the comedians on the ship described it. Same trip when thorough the Panama canal. The panamanians are building come new locks so the can conserve the fresh water lost we each ship goes thorough the locks. Great trip- Great Value. Business continues to show signs of positive recovery and that is nice. Still like the grandkids and friend trips the best.
Update - September 2011 - Just looked at my original story. Most of the original information remains correct. We now have two grandsons Ari and Ashton. Lived thorough the 45th reunion for both me and may wife. Probably not the big crowds but nice to see old friends. People seem to wait for the big 50 but as we all know there is no guarantee. Still working and trying t...Expand for more
o make some money. The crunch and attitude of the young workers is really a mountain to climb but that is what makes this a challange. Just got my younger brother married, again.... long story and not worth the time.
Like most we need to slim down on our collection of "stuff" . Seems like we worked most of our lives to get the stuff we have and now we need to spend some more money to advertise it so we can get rid of it......... Life is always good. We continue to meet new friends and mourn the passing of others before us. The hardest thing is losing a really great person. We are very lucky ot have known a bunch. Also met some of the crud buckets but that is the path of life. Hope all are well. If you recognize any of my ramblings send anote. Love to hear from you. Jack
Recently I rejoined classmates to make contact with some of the people from my class that I didn't see at reunions.
My wife Carol(Lannin '66) and I have lived in Great Falls, again since 1995. we just celebrate 40th anniversary. We have two daughters, Kristine in Bozeman and Debbie in Hamilton. Kristine is a dance teacher and a mom and Debbie is a CPA and a mom. We have 2 grandaughters and one grandson and one ? on the way. :) We are in borderline retirement as we bought/started a professional handyman franchise in 2004. We spend most of our spare time making trips to see the kids. My parents both passed away several years ago and Carol's dad just passed in July. We both have been to several reunions and we both like to renew relationships with old friends.
I am looking to contact Lyle Williams, Sam Hubbert and Gary Hancock. We both would like any contact from people who knew us from other classes. Anyone is welcome to contact me here on facebook or thorough the business hd418(at) housedoctors.(dot)com
