John's Story

School Grew up in Tustin and went to Beswick elementary where I really loved it and had a lot of friends and great times. That was a cool time to be a kid and grow up. The city kind of sucks now as I go there from time to time to remember the fun times like when my house burned down. OK not so fun, but whatever, I blocked that out. You Beswick kiddies make sure to write to me as I am trying to track you down. My best friend today is the one I had then, Eric McNay...Remember that punk. Divorce jacked up my life and I had to move to Huntington Beach where I went to Oka and then Bushard elementary. Not as fun but there were some good people there. Ended up at Fountain Valley High School. Again, not as fun, but had some really great friends and good times. Too much fun and not enough going to class made life hard for a while until I woke up and went to University. I graduated from Loyala Marymount University in L.A. with a Film Production Degree. I began working on films for Playboy (not very dirty ones...their "respectable ones" then became an editor/producer for commercials and documantary films. I then produced concert films and DVD's for a lot of classic rock bands like AC/DC, Genesis, Queen, Judas Priest, and The Who. As a mod kid in High School I'd of never thought I'd be wroking for the Who so it was amazing when I had the chance!!!. If you've seen The Kids Are ALright DVD, then you've seen my work! Now I work on The Simpsons which is another favorite and I'm feeling fortunate to be doing it. I own a production company now and have been able to recently get out of LA and back to H.B. and am glad to be h...Expand for more
ome in Suburbia though I miss the culture of LA as I don't think there is one in the O.C. which we used to call Orange County. College I attended Loyola Marymount University in L.A. and studied in Germany where I also traveled to a whole bunch of countries backpacking and partying a lot. I met my wife while attending Oktoberfest, she too was from Loyola. I grauated with a film degree and she got a "real"( as she calls it), education with a degree in English Lit. At least my degree is working for me!!!! She went on to Loyola Law School and hasn't used her "real" degree yet! But she has taken my name so now she gets to be ridiculed and forever spend time helping people who say "Can you spell that?" Her real name was Morgan, nice and easy. I actually use it to make reservations now, no hassles. Anyway, she's the best and I'm lucky to have such a cool beautiful chick. My step sister was a jackass druggy and the courts took her kids away from her and her equally boneheaded husband and gave them to his Mother to care for. When it was discovered that she was abusing them, and since we didn't have any, we took them and now they're my kids. Whata trip it has been going to open houses, and parent teacher stuff all of a sudden, it hasn't seemed real but I'm getting used to it and the girls are digging it because they are spoiled and deserve it for what they have been through. Well thats about it for now I guess, I have to go take the little one to her first school dance and I think it sucks because I saw what David Rose and Leslie Harris did at our seventh grade dance and if either of you are reading this, for shame!!!!
